How accurate is the Japanese transcription?+
Qwen3-ASR is the current best-in-class for Japanese audio in 2026 — it handles dialect, mixed registers, and overlapping speakers better than Whisper-large. End-to-end accuracy on clean dialogue typically tops 95%; noisy variety segments drop a few points.
Does the translation handle adult-video tone?+
Yes. The translate prompt has a domain override for JA→EN AV content that preserves the genre's register instead of laundering it into clinical English. For non-AV Japanese the generic prompt kicks in automatically — no toggle needed.
What about kanji-only filenames?+
Filenames are slugified for URL safety, not used for transcription. The audio is what's transcribed, so kanji-only inputs are fine. Renamed files still match the audio fingerprint cache.
Do you keep the original Japanese SRT?+
Yes. Every job ships both the source-language SRT and the translated SRT. Sidecar convention: the bare .srt is the target (English by default), and .ja.srt is the Japanese transcript.
